Is 20 volume peroxide right to go with Wella color charm (Very dark brown) hair colour?
My natural hair colour is dark brown almost black according to the whella colour chart the Wella very dark brown 211/2N is the closest match to my natural hair colour.
The majority of the new hair is still dark with lots of grey dispursed throughout that needs to be covered. I have about 3 inches of new growth to cover.
I want to make sure is it ok and safe to use 20 volume developer/cream peroxide with the wella color charm hair colour to cover my roots? Is this the right volume to use as I do not need to lighten my hair could I get away with a 10 volume?
20 volume peroxide is correct. 30 volume is used to make hair much lighter as well as 40. but 10 volume … i have no idea what that’s for, i’ve never seen anything in a beauty shop that uses 10 volume. but yes, use 20. good luck!

I’ve been getting asked to do a lot of the heavier highlights thru the top of naturally dark or colored hair. Leaving from the top of the ear down dark. It looks awesome with browns, and even better with reds and auburns !
The hair is cut about shoulder length with medium layers throughout. And angled from mid cheek down.
As far as cuts go, I have seen a lot of cuts that resembled a type of shag wear the top layers are no shorter than 5-6″ and gradually get longer. The ends are chippy or razored so you can get a really nice edgy look even if you have straight hair and you don’t blow dry or fix it. If hair is wavy, it looks awesome blown out straight and flat ironed slightly flipped out, to accentuate the edginess. Try the link below to get some ideas.

Bleaching it removed all original color from the hair. By using a hair color remover it would take your hair back to blonde, or very close to it depending on how well the color remover worked.

No, You will not get back to your normal color, especially if you are dying it anything that has red in it… getting red out of your hair is so hard to do… it’s easier to just cut it off…
I stripped my hair trying to get the red out and it didn’t do a darn thing but turn my hair orange… no matter how many times I dyed it a brown or light brown the moment it started to fade, the red came back thru.
I went to a professional and they were worthless too… they did their magic and it did last longer but ultimately…. my hair had this red under tone to it that I couldn’t get out.. I finally shaved my head and started over… haven’t dyed my hair since and that was 5 years ago.
