How do you wash out dandruff?

i have natural hair and it seems that when take care of it myself its ok and stays clean but when i go to the hair salon to get it straighten (hot iron), days later i have flakes in my scalp and its quite embarrassing. i wash my hair out and it seems like there are still flakes in my strands (not the scalp) how do you wash the little buggers out?and should i stop going to the salon?

I’ve always had a dandruff problem since I was a kid and I’ve tried everything there is out there on the market.

I just wash my hair frequetly with a good shampoo everytime I detect little flakes on my clothing.

Could it be that they rub your scalp too hard when they wash your hair? I know I have had that issue. Also, perhaps they dry your hair at a higher heat then you are used to?

Different products are used too at hair dressers, so if you have a sensitive scalp, bring your own shampoo and conditioner. You are right, heat is also a problem, to get your hair looking just right, high heat is used and a lot of brushing. Perhaps you could ask your hair dresser to dry your hair as much as possible by hand before styling it. Happy Christmas!
