Highlights/hair coloring ideas please? :]?

My hair is choppy layers about three inches down my shoulder. It’s jet-black and, I’m wanting to add some color to have fun with it. Any awesome ideas for hair-coloring? I’m not planning on dying my whole head, I want to keep a good part of my hair black. Thanks. :]]]]
